Aspire Plus Dance Academy Teachers

Michelle Briggs

Principal of Aspire Plus Dance Academy

My dancing career started at the age of 4. Pursuing my dream of becoming

a dance teacher, I worked hard in all areas achieving outstanding results in

exams and competitions. I chose to further my studies at John Curtin College

of the Arts, majoring in Dance, Classical Ballet, Drama and Theatre Arts.

I graduated John Curtin with a Performing Arts Certificate with distinction

and also, continued my classes outside of school and completed final exams in CSTD and RAD syllabus. The opportunity arose for me to fulfil my dream as a dance teacher and I opened my very own dance studio. Dancemania Plus Dance Studio opened in the year of 1996.

My accomplishments so far are running a successful dance studio for 21 years, holding teaching diplomas with high distinctions in, RAD, CSTD and APAS Syllabi. I also have an examiners degree in Australian Performing Arts Syllabus and examine students in Jazz, Tap, Classical Ballet, Acrobatics, Modelling andSpeech & Drama. I have trained many students who have advanced their performing arts studies through at WAPAA, The West AustralianBallet or are travelling overseas.

My New journey in life is opening Aspire Plus Dance Studio to broaden my teaching skills and share my love of dance further. I endeavour to pass the love onto every student who joins a class at my academy. I conduct my classes in a professional manner with a balance of discipline, fun and positive learning. Everyone who joins Aspire Plus Dance Academy will become part of my dancing family and we will make many memories that will last a life time.
